Toenail cutting and filing in Nuneaton
Plenty of people simply cannot reach, see, or manage their toenails any more, whether because of mobility, eyesight, arthritis or nails that have grown thick and hard. A short nail-cutting appointment takes the job off your hands.
- Appointment
- 30 min
- Price
- £20
- Where
- 120 Coventry Road, Nuneaton
Who it helps
Older people, anyone with limited mobility or a bad back, people with arthritis in their hands, those with poor eyesight, and anyone recovering from surgery who cannot bend for a while. Family members often book it for a parent.
What is included
Toenails are trimmed to a comfortable length and shape, filed smooth, and the edges checked so nothing catches on socks or grows into the skin. Julie also casts an eye over your skin while she works and will mention anything worth keeping an eye on.
If you also have hard skin or corns, the routine foot care appointment covers everything in one visit.
How often
Toenails grow slowly, so most people come every eight to ten weeks. Julie will suggest a rhythm that suits you.
Common questions
- Can someone come with me?
- Of course. There is a chair for a companion, and the clinic is on the ground floor with parking outside.
- Can you do my fingernails as well?
- Yes. Fingernail cutting and filing is a separate 30-minute appointment and can be booked for the same visit.
Julie Ford is a foot health practitioner (Dip FHP, MCFHP, MAFHP), not a podiatrist. Where a problem needs a podiatrist or your GP, she will say so and help you get seen.
